Stories Ultra is a unique timed running event. This is a chance to add to your running history while enjoying the wildlife views of Cheyenne Mountain State Park.

Race Info
In addition to three timed events, organizers host a half marathon and a 10K race.
This event will feature just one aid location at the crux point where all loops start and end. Pacers are available only for 30-hour runners.
All finishers will receive a unique finisher’s medal, with an additional unique belt buckle for those who cover 100 miles and 150 miles. There are also special awards for The Purple People Eater and Transcendence.

The night of camping is into the registration fees for the 30-Hour (Friday and Saturday Nights) and the 15-Hour (Friday Night Only).

15 and 30 hour courses feature four loops that each build in distance and elevation gain upon the previous loop. The most challenging segment, which is cutely named “The Purple People Eater,” consists of 7.43 miles with 1,033 feet of gain. To complete the sequence of loops, an athlete has to run 20 laps plus one more red for 101.17 miles with 12,618 feet of elevation gain.
For the 6-Hour Stories Ultra, Half Marathon, and 10K races, there are two loop courses with different elevation gains.
