A relaxed atmosphere, beautiful course, encouraging volunteers – all this will leave only pleasant impressions of the race. All electricity used during the race will be generated by solar panels; all toilet tissue, soap and other paper will be biodegradable; all T-shirts will be made only from organic cotton using environmentally friendly paints; all race awards will be made from recycled materials.

Race Info
Reserved Parking is available only in advance when you register for the race. The organizers offer free shuttles that will run continuously about every 15 minutes. The time limit for the half marathon is 3.00 hours; 2.15 for 10K, 2.00 for 5K.
The Kids Fun Run also will take place (300-yard). It is free. All kids will receive a finishers medal.
No pets are allowed. Strollers are welcome only on the 5K course. San Rafael usually has cool to moderate weather in spring and fall, with more rainfall in winter and early spring than in summer and fall.

Course Map
You can find the course map and description here: marinendurancefest.com. Runners expect the steepest and biggest hills at the beginning of the course, as the elevation at the start line rises from sea level to 110 feet above sea level. The course consists of two surfaces-some sections on paved roads and others on trails with natural surfaces. The course climbs about 1,500 feet throughout the run through the park.
