The Grand Rapids Marathon is considered suitable for novice marathoners and half marathoners, as the course starts at about 610 feet above sea level and doesn’t rise above 660 feet. In past years about 4000 runners have participated in both races.

Race Info
It will be possible to leave a bag with things. Each participant will receive a medal and a T-shirt at the finish line. The top 3 men and women in overall, age groups and masters will receive additional awards. Overall and masters awards will be based on gun time. Awards in age groups will be based on chip time.
After the finish line participants can get one beer for free. Entry fees are non-refundable. Children’s treadmills, bicycles, dogs are not allowed on the course. There is not enough space on the course for that.
There will be aid stations approximately every 1,5 miles along the course. There will be water and isotonic at the aid stations. An early start is provided for walkers. The course will be closed after 2:00.
