Golden Gate Half Marathon & 5K

More than 3700 runners take part in the Golden Gate Half Marathon & 5K. The course is fast and flat, although there are some difficult hilly sections in the middle of the course. Runners will experience one of the most famous cities in the world.

Race Info

Participants will receive: a San Francisco-themed finisher’s medal, long-sleeved T-shirt, bag, free beer after the race, fully supported aid stations throughout the course and refreshments at the finish line.

There will be 5 aid stations with water and strawberry lemonade on the course. Energy gels will be available at 2 aid stations. Participants must maintain a pace of 16 minutes per mile. 

The top 3 men and women in the overall standings and the top 3 men and women in the age groups will receive an award. Awards will need to be picked up at the awards table. Awards will not be mailed after the race. The host city is famous for its cool or cold summer weather. On the race day the average low temperature is 52ºF and the average high temperature is 67ºF.
