The Columbus Marathon, which attracts more than 15000 runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes each year, has been held since 1979. The last few miles are a treat for runners, they are almost entirely flat.

Race Info
The 5K run is the perfect beginner’s event or a fun start for those, who will participate in the half marathon or full marathon the next morning. Participants will receive a baseball cap and a medal at the finish line. For the safety of all participants, no strollers are allowed.
The 1M race is open to children and adults 6 years old and older. Like the 5K run, this race is not chip timed. Participants will receive a medal at the finish line. There will be a separate race for children 11 and under. Each participant will receive a special ribbon and a treat at the finish line. Children’s participation is free.
Columbus usually has cool weather in October. On the race day the average low temperature is 44ºF and the average high temperature is 64ºF.
