The place, where the California Gold Rush Trail Run is held, that gold was discovered in 1848, which started the gold rush and led to the rapid growth of the state of California. The scenic views and varied wildlife are sure to please the participants.

Race Info
The course is well marked: there are signs at each intersection and chalk lines on the ground at important points. Mile marker signs have been placed at all courses. All runners will receive a medal at the finish line and technical T-shirts. Registration on the day of the race is possible for a small additional fee.
There will be 2 fully staffed aid stations on the course. Active duty military and first responders receive a 15% discount.
Headphones are allowed, but when you come to the aid stations, it is recommended to remove your hearing aids. The time limit is 4,5 hours. No strollers are allowed in the race.

Course Map
You can find the course map and description here: tctruns.com. All courses are a mixture of dirt trails and a few paved sections. There are some moderately technical climbs and descents with plenty of crossings. There are also sections with hills, and in some places the course is completely flat. 5K – 600 ft. ascent, 10K – 1,286 ft. ascent, 15K – 1,834 ft. ascent, half marathon – 2,493 ft ascent.
