Big Sur International Marathon

Big Sur International Marathon is a run on the motorway. Participants will run with views of tall redwood trees, waves, mountains and pastures.

Race Info

The number of participants in the marathon is limited to 4500 athletes, in the 21M – 1500 athletes, 12K – 950 participants, 11M – 1600 participants, 5K – 550 participants.

To participate in the marathon and 21M, athletes must be at least 16 years old. The time limit for completing the marathon is 6 hours, for the 21M is 6,5 hours. The course will be closed at 13:00. 

The top 5 men and women overall and the top 3 men and women among the masters will receive awards. The awards ceremony will take place after the finish. There are no awards for age groups at other distances. Water, gels and fruit will be available at aid stations. Strollers, pacers and dogs are not allowed on the course.
