XTERRA Trail Run World Championship Half Marathon is a weekend-long trail running festival where top elite and amateur athletes will compete for $10000 of prize money in the full and half marathon distances. Everyone is welcome to participate, as there are also 10K, 5K and Kid’s races. Live music, great food and family entertainment await the participants after the finish line.

Race Info
Participants will enjoy a balanced course with hills and flat valley trails, with several stream crossings and some narrow, winding sections. The festivities after the race will feature live music and will be open to all athletes and spectators. The trails are filled with roots, rocks, big climbs and mud.
This is a free run for children 10 years old and younger. Parents will be allowed to run alongside their children if needed. The organizers promise to provide a washing area where participants can clean up. At the marathon and half marathon medals will be given to the top 3 runners in each age group. The top 3 men and women overall in the marathon and half marathon will get prize money.
The city of Kaawa usually has mild to moderately warm weather almost all year round, with the rainiest seasons occurring in late fall and winter.
