Wisconsin Trail Assail – National Sweetest Day Run

It’s a Wisconsin state run consisting of the half marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids’ race. More than 90% of the course goes through the park’s woods and past the lakes. The trails are wide and well-maintained.

Race Info

Walkers can participate in any distance, but must be able to finish before the course closes. There will be no awards for the walk. Walk participants will receive a finisher’s staff. 

At the finish line there will be a free food station with fresh fruit. The top male and female finishers in each course will receive individual awards. The top 3 finishers among men and women in age groups will receive an individual medal. There will be a free Kid’s 1K race for children if one parent runs. They will receive a BIB and finisher’s medal.

There will be one aid station on the course, which runners will pass twice. There will be water, a sports drink and energy gels at the aid station. It’s a run without cups.

You can find the course map and description here: runsignup.com. The trails are mostly covered with wood chips. There is some grass, but it is well groomed. Over 60% of the course is shaded by trees.
