About 1500 runners participate in the Windermere Marathon each year. The half marathon and marathon are runs along the river. Participants will have plenty of prizes and new experiences at the after-party.

Race Info
Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women overall for each course. Age group awards will be given for the first place among men and women.
Organizers offer paid bus tickets to the start. Bus tickets must be purchased in advance during registration. The aid stations on the course will be located approximately every 2-3 miles. The aid stations will provide water, gels and chewy candy. Food will be provided in the finish area for the athletes. All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal, water and snacks, and the marathon and half marathon runners will receive more hearty meals. Food at the finish line is for participants only, not for spectators.
A virtual race will also be available. Virtual participants will receive gifts by mail after the real race. Children can run or walk the course in a few days or all month long. At the end of the event they will receive a T-shirt and a medal by mail.
