The course of the Swamp Fox Ultra passes through the Francis Marion National Forest. The format of this event is said to be very different from modern ultra marathons.

Race Info
Organizers strongly encourage all participants to dress in brightly colored clothing or they will not be allowed to the start. There will be only one aid station on the course – at the start/finish line.
Every 6-7 miles there will be a checkpoint on the course, where participants will be required to check in. There will also be water stops along the course, but no food. Overnight accommodations will be provided for all participants and their families and friends.
Food will be provided for participants after the finish line.
