The Hennepin Hundred

The Hennepin Hundred is the only ultra marathon in the state of Illinois. Participants will run through locks and lift bridges, picturesque farms and towns. This run is great for beginners and for setting a personal record. And at night, participants will be able to stargaze.

Race Info

The organizers are offering a discount on registration for military personnel. The participant who sets the record for the 100M distance will receive a $750 prize. 100M participants will receive a finisher flannel with rabbit, belt buckle, T-shirt, running bag and assorted small gifts, free photos from the race and fully stocked aid stations.

Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women in the overall and age groups in all distances. Food and water will be provided at the aid stations. The time limit is until 1:00 PM Sunday.

The average low temperature in Sterling is 40° and the average high temperature is 60°. There is a 6% chance of thunderstorms and rain.

You can find the course map and description here: hennepinhundred.com. The 100M and 50M trails are flat and fast. The trail surface is unpaved – dirt, gravel and a few sections with asphalt pavement.
