At the Flying Squirrel Ten Miler you will find the ease and convenience of a road race with the spectacular views and seclusion of a mountain race. Participants will be able to enjoy shady mountain roads, which are usually used only by locals. Asheville is home of an amazing variety of wildlife, including squirrels, black bears and foxes.

Race Info
Over the 10M course, runners will gain more than 1,400 feet. The first and last 0.75 miles are pretty flat. The rest of the course is hilly. There will be water at the aid stations. Participants will get: individual T-shirt, post-race food, beer, gifts from sponsors, personalized badge, professional chip timing. There will be extra food and drink at the finish line: oranges, cookies, bread, and more.
No littering is allowed on the course. The race director has the right to disqualify a participant if they are caught littering on the course. Part of the proceeds from the race will go to the conservation of the endangered Carolina flying squirrel.
Awards: the top 3 men and women overall, the top 3 men and women Masters and winners in age groups will be awarded. Awarding ceremony will be held in the finish area after the race.
