The Backland is a trail race held in Gordonville, Texas. It is a “Run While You Can” race. The winner of the main race will receive a great cash prize and many other giveaways.

Race Info
The limit of participants is 36 people. Participants are given 1 hour to complete a 4,5-miles loop. Every hour a gun will sound to indicate that you need to start a new loop. If a participant doesn’t complete the loop in one hour, he is eliminated.
All finishers will receive a long sleeve T-shirt and a beer. Participants who complete 23 laps will receive a belt buckle. Participants who complete 34 laps will receive a gold buckle. The winner of Last man standing will receive a $800 cash prize, a large trophy and a pack of beer. The 7K winner will receive a trophy.
There will be hot chocolate, water, beer, isotonic, soft drinks, pickle juice, homemade chicken soup, macaroni and cheese, assorted fruit, cookies and chips and other snacks at the aid station. All of these are included in the registration fee.
