Texas Trail Running Festival

The Texas Trail Running Festival is the only race in the county in which you can run in the morning and late afternoon. Each participant will receive souvenirs. The festival features live music, a beautiful ranch, outdoor movies, free prizes, food carts, games, a family and kids area.

Race Info

Registration includes many bonuses: a T-shirt, a unique medal, a relaxing finish line with games and toys for the kids and drinks for the finishers. There is also a food truck at the finish line offering many different types of food. All races will be run using chips. The chips will be attached to an ankle, which can only be obtained on the morning of the race.

Orange tape fences off all open intersections, yellow arrows attached to stakes, poles, fences and trees. Participants will not have to use a map.

Organizers provide water, ice, gels and some snacks (chips, cookies, etc.). There are no aid stations in the 5K run. You can leave your ice chests, liquids and any other food or supplies at the main aid station at the start/finish line before the start. This is a cupless race, so be sure to bring a bottle. Pacers are not allowed for this event.

There will be awards for the top 3 men and women, as well as the top men and women (50 and older), and 1 man and woman in the age groups. Fun handmade awards will be given at the finish line to the winners of each course. There will not be an awards ceremony at the event.

Course Map

You can find the course map and description here: tejastrails.com. The marathon race is four exciting 6,55M loops. The half marathon is two loops. The 10K and 5K are one loop each. The winding trails are constantly moving up and down over rocks, roots, and hard packed terrain. There are many short, steep climbs.
