The Temptation 200 is an ultramarathon in one of the most unique natural areas in central Illinois. This race shows how tough you are and will test you physically, mentally, and maybe even spiritually.

Race Info
All the runners can choose to run any distance on race day; everyone starts as a 200K participant, toeing the line together. Everyone has the chance to continue or drop at any time.
Participants who complete 2 loops of the course (50K) and decline to go further will receive a custom challenge coin or medallion. Participants who push a mere 2 loops beyond that (100K) will receive a beautiful antique brass buckle emblazoned with the distance they overcame. 150K reward the runner with a glorious buckle in a breath-taking nickle finish. For those who dig the deepest, comes the ultimate reward of the race — the beautiful, highly detailed, two-tone 200km buckle. The male and female who go furthest and fastest will receive an additional award for their efforts. There will also be an award for the last-place runner who survived cutoffs and exhaustion to finish the 200K.
Camping at the start and finish is included with your race fee. Please note that there are NO showers or electric hookups anywhere in the park. Oak Campground (the start and finish) has pit toilets and a hand-powered water pump.

Course Map
The trail is soft on account of the sandy soil in the area. Some of the trail is suitable for running, and other portions are so soft they require walking for all but the most elite ultrarunners. The course is challenging. Find more details here: temptation200.com.
