Bishop’s Events was launched in 2011 with the mission of giving back to others. We do this by providing the area’s runners with high-quality races that benefit local and national charity organizations. Each race, we give 25% of the profits back to the specific charity benefactor from the race.

Race Info
Come out and enjoy this scenic half marathon and 5k in the heart of Georgetown, near the Nation’s Capital. All of the events run on the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal path. Walkers and strollers are welcome to attend this event.
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt, and a chip-timed event. Race medal designs can be viewed on the Friday before the race on social media.
The top 3 men and women overall will be awarded. As well as the first male and female winners in age categories. Runners who place in the top 3 overall in their race are not eligible to also win their age groups.

Course Map
There will be 7 water stations along the 1/2 marathon course at approximately mile markers 1.55, 3.8, 4.3, 6.55, 8.8, 9.3, and 11.55. One water station will be along the 5K course at approximately mile marker 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some water stations. Water stations are subject to change as deemed necessary.
