The Steamboat Marathon was ranked as one of the ‘Top 10 Destination Marathons in North America’. The extremely scenic course runs alongside the roaring Elk River through the green pastures overlooking the snow-capped Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Race Info
The Steamboat Marathon has been held for more than 40 years. It is a certified Boston Qualifier race.
It is still a relatively small race with a hometown feel. The start of the marathon is in historic Hahn’s Peak Village. The organizers offer free transportation to the marathon starting area for participants only. The finish for all three races is on Lincoln Avenue in downtown Steamboat Springs.
The half marathon and full marathon courses are challenging as there are many rolling hills, with the altitude increasing difficulty. Check out the course elevation profiles for more info.
