The Portland Marathon is an annual running event held in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Last year, more than 4000 runners participated in the event. After the finish line, runners are treated to the party with beer and live bands. The half marathon is the flattest, fastest and most scenic half marathon in New England with an elevation gain of 60 feet. It is considered one of the easiest half marathon distances in the region. The course runs on both the inland and shoreline and includes just two hills.

Race Info
After the finish line, there will be a festival with more than 8000 people flocking to this picturesque beach town to support runners and have fun all day long. Participants can indulge in a buffet of lobster rolls, clam chowder, granola bars, and vegetarian dishes. Athletes will also receive two complimentary beers. Friends and family members can also purchase tickets for food and beer.
Both courses will award prizes to the top 3 overall men and women and to the top 3 men and women in the age groups. There will be no awards tent or ceremony at the event. Winners will be contacted within 2-3 days after the race.
The time limit for the 5K distance is 45 minutes and the time limit for the half marathon distance is 3,15 hours (15 minutes per mile). The organizers strongly recommend not to use headphones on the course. Strollers and dogs are not allowed on the course.
