The Silver State has a rich history as one of the oldest trail runs on the West Coast. It was established in 1986, when one of the co-founders, Roland Martin, found a way to bring the ultra communities of northern Nevada and northern California together for a day of adventure on Peavine Mountain and the nearby Carson Range.

Race Info
The 50M is one of the tougher ones on the West Coast, with steep sections of up to 15 percent grades and featuring about 9,000 feet of ascent and descent.
Part of the 50-mile experience is a 7.1-mile loop known as “Jimmy’s Loop”. The ascent on Jimmy’s Loop is about 1,800 feet. Because of this, there are now an additional 15 minutes added to the Peavine aid station final cut-off.
Awards are for overall women’s and men’s winners of the 50M, 50K, and half marathon. In addition, age group awards are for the top (first place) women’s and men’s finishers.
