The course was designed for beginner runners who want to run their first half marathon or 8K, and for experienced runners who want to set a new personal record. Usually about 700-800 people participate in the race.

Race Info
Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women in age groups at the half marathon and 8K. Overall awards will be determined by gun time, and awards in age groups will be determined by chip time.
All half marathon and 8K participants will receive a T-shirt, individual medal, chip timing, sandwich, free photos from the race, and access to a recovery area with stretching and massage. Participants 21+ will receive a free beer coupon.
There are also virtual options for all races for those participants who, for whatever reason, can’t attend the event in person. Entry fees are non-refundable. You can change races for free, but the difference in cost is non-refundable. The time limit is 4 hours. Salem usually has the mildest weather of the year in October, with temperatures averaging between 40 and 60.
