Holden Beach is a coastal island in southern North Carolina with a unique bridge that curves upward. The winding course will show the true beauty of Holden Beach at a beautiful time of year. The participants of the half marathon will receive unique huge medals. Participants in the 5K will receive equally beautiful awards.

Race Info
Each finisher will receive a medal and full-color T-shirts with drawings. There will also be additional awards for the top 3 men and women overall, masters and age groups. The medal will be 8″ for the half marathon with a surfboard and 4″ with flip-flops for the 5K race.
After the finish line, there will be a celebration with a Carolina barbecue, with a ticket attached to the BIB. There will be 8 aid stations on the half marathon course with water and isotonics and 1 aid station on the 5K course. At the finish line after the race, participants can refresh themselves with bananas, isotonics, barbecue and beer.
Photos from the races will be provided free of charge. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on USATF certified courses. The event is held in early October, when the average temperature reaches 75 degrees and the low is 56 degrees.

You can find the course map and description here: coastalraceproductions.com. The certified 5K course is flat and fast, running along the ocean. The 1M distance has out and back course. There will be mile markers with flags at each mile of the 5K and half marathon.
