The Richmond Marathon course takes you through picturesque and historic areas of the city, which is great for beginners and includes only a few hills. Participants expect souvenirs, entertainment on the course, aid stations and much more.

Race Info
All participants will receive: a long sleeve running T-shirt, finisher’s medal, finisher’s cap and our famous fleece plaid.
Awards will be given to the top 5 men and women in age groups. Awards in the overall standings are determined by gun time, awards in age groups by chip time. Walkers are also welcome, but the course is designed for 7 hours ( 16:02 minutes per mile).
Entry fees are non-refundable. To participate in the marathon, an athlete must be at least 16 years old on the day of the race. Hand bikes, scooters, children’s treadmills, children in carriers and backpacks, scooters, skateboards and animals are not allowed on the course. Richmond is typically characterized by moderately cool to cold weather in mid-autumn. On the race day the average low temperature is 39ºF and the average high temperature is 61ºF.
