There are many distances to choose from: the long-distance races offer the scenery for which this running event is famous – large, expansive views of the Mississippi River. Participants cross two states during the race. The prizewinners of the marathon and half marathon will receive cash prizes.

Race Info
Remember to fill out the medical information on the back of the bib. Pacemakers’ team consist of veteran marathon and half marathon runners who have extensive race experience to help you achieve your desired finish time. The goal of the pacemaker is to run at an even or roughly the same pace for each mile.
Prize money: marathon men and women: 1st – $3000, 2nd – $1500, 3rd – $1000, 4th – $750, 5th – $500. Half Marathon men and women: 1st – $500, 2nd – $300, 3rd – $200. Marathon Masters men and women: 1st – $500, 2nd – $300, 3rd – $200. Marathon top local finishers men and women (from Scott, Muscatine, Rock Island, Henry, Mercer Counties): 1st – $250, 2nd – $200, 3rd – $150. Half marathon top local finishers men and women (from Scott, Muscatine, Rock Island, Henry, Mercer Counties): 1st – $250, 2nd – $200, 3rd – $150.
The course is mostly flat and fast, with the exception of a small climb at mile 3 and descents to the bridges. There is no official time limit for the half marathon, but runners are strongly encouraged to finish within 4 hours. Foreign athletes are welcome, but must have proper permission to compete in the United States.
