Night Train 50k and Half Marathon is one of Virginia’s newest rail trails. The event takes place at night. The High Bridge on the course has a 2,400-foot-long. Participants will cross the bridge at sunset and get great pictures. The fireflies and the moon make the finish line an unforgettable spectacle.

Race Info
In the 50K race runners will start in waves of 60 every 4 minutes. It will help to reduce overcrowding at the first aid station. At the half marathon athletes will start in waves of 45 every 3 minutes. The participants must carry at least 20 ounces of water. Lack of water is an automatic disqualification.
The top 3 men and women will be awarded. Participants must be present to receive the award. Prizes will not be mailed. The “Most Patriotic” prize will also be given at the discretion of the race director.
There will be food in containers, water and ice at the aid stations. Runners should bring their own cup, as this is a cupless race. There will be hot dogs on the avenue and pizza at the finish line.
