Newport Marathon

Newport Marathon is a flat, very fast and beautiful course where athletes can achieve good results. Although there are ups and downs in the course, most of the course is flat and the entire run is on paved surface.

Race Info

The top 3 men and women overall, as well as the top 3 men and women Masters and 1 man and woman in the age group, will receive a special award. All finishers will receive a finisher’s T-shirt and a commemorative finisher’s medal. All awards must be received on the day of the race. Runners will receive a total of $600 in prize money: $100 – each for male and female course records and for the 1st male and female finisher whose primary residence is in Lincoln County.

Free food and drinks will be offered to runners at the finish line. The Oregon coast is known for its unpredictable weather, but early June is usually cool (50° to 60°). Hot days are unlikely, as are severe storms. 

Shuttle buses will run from the race headquarters near the finish area. At Miles 11 and 19, Oregon Oyster Farms offers world-famous oysters from the Bay for all participants of the race.

  • $110 and up – full marathon

Course Map

You can find the course map and description here: newportmarathon.org. The course is USATF certified and a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. Aid stations will be set up approximately every two miles along the course, with water, electrolyte drink and portable toilets. Some aid stations will offer fruit.
