The Mount Desert Island Marathon consists of the marathon, relay and half marathon. It will be a run through one of the most beautiful parks in the country. The course passes lakes, mountains and villages.

Race Info
All finishers will receive medals. The top 3 men and women, age groups and the best relay teams in the marathon and half marathon will be awarded additional prizes.
Registration fee includes: a medal, commemorative running bag, technical T-shirt, race timing, shuttle bus, printed finisher’s certificate and free photos from the race. The time limits: the marathon – 6,5 hours, the half marathon – 4 hours. There will be no early start. There will be an official party after the finish line. Aid stations about will be located every 2 miles that serve lemon-lime isotonic and water. Some stations will have gels.
Bar Harbor has cool weather in October with temperatures ranging from 40ºF to 56ºF. There is just over 5,3 inches of rainfall per month.
