Hundreds of runners take to the streets and trails connecting Schenectady and Albany along the Hudson River each fall to participate in this run. For most of the distance, the run is on gentle, flat terrain. Runners will expect a course with lots of downhill, but no uphill. The race will benefit the Animal Support Project.

Race Info
This is a point-to-point course, so there will be a free bus for all participants before the start of each race. Participants must run or walk on the left side of the road on city streets. Both courses cross a freight railroad line.
The time limit for the race is 6 hours (8:00 AM to 2:00 PM). Aid stations with water and sports drinks will be available approximately every two miles.
All finishers will receive a medal. Cash prizes will be given to the top 3 men and women in the amounts of $1500, $1000 and $500 for their respective places. Cash awards will be presented to the top 3 men and women in the Masters category of $500, $250, $125. Awards will also be given to the top 3 men and women in each age group.
October usually has cool and pleasant fall weather, although it can be quite cold at this time of year. Temperatures average between 60°F and 33°F during the month, and rainfall averages about 3,23 inches per month.
