The Mesa Falls Marathon and Half Marathon are point-to-point courses starting in the Targhee National Forest near the headwaters of the Warm River and ending in the city of Ashton, Idaho. The marathon course has a unique blend of running surfaces and beautiful views.

Race Info
The Mesa Falls Marathon features spectacular views of the Targhee National Forest, the Teton Mountains, Lower Mesa Falls on the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River, and Warm River.
The starting point is located approximately 2.5 miles from Highway 20 on Byway 47. All marathon runners receive a tech shirt, finisher’s medallion, and shuttle transportation to starting area.
A wide variety of wildlife resides in the area including elk, deer, moose, bison, cougars, wolves, and bears. Use caution if encountering wild animals.

You can find the course map and description here: mesafallsmarathon.com. The marathon course starts at an elevation of 6135 ft. and is generally downhill finishing at 5253 ft. Aid stations are located approximately every 2 miles. Most of the course is on the pavement.
