It’s a part of a series of races geared toward women, this half marathon is designed to inspire women from all walks of life, to discover and fulfill their potential by providing support, training, motivation, and a commitment to a healthy lifestyle for participants. Walkers and runners of all levels are invited to participate. The course is mostly flat. The 5K is completely flat, and the 10K and half marathon distances have an ascent.

Race Info
Participants will receive a stylish T-shirt, finisher’s medal, necklace and a treat after the race. There will be a lot of aid stations on the course with water, electrolyte drink and bars.
The Kids’ Run is the 1,5M race for girls and boys ages 6 to 12. Participants will receive a medal, necklace and food after the race. Parents are invited to attend the race with children. The cost of participation doesn’t include a T-shirt for the race.
The recommended pace is 17:00 per mile. For those who need extra time, the organizers offer an early start. Competitors who start earlier, will receive a finish time, but won’t be eligible for awards.
The awarding ceremony will recognize the top 3 women overall in each distance, as well as the top 3 women in each age group. Awards will not be mailed out. There will be no awards for the men’s categories.

You can find the course map and description here: mermaidseries.com. The 5K and 10K races are run entirely on the road. The half marathon includes several miles of groomed dirt trails. The 10K and half marathon have one climb. The 10K has about 275 feet of elevation gain and the half marathon has 430 feet of elevation gain.
