The Mathews Marathon is a run on quiet country roads in beautiful Mathews County, Virginia. It is a fast and flat trail running on dirt, gravel and paved roads. The number of participants is limited to 500 athletes. All participants will receive medals at the finish line.

Race Info
There will be no registration on the race day. All participants will receive a commemorative hooded sweatshirt and finisher’s medal. The top finishers in overall and age groups will receive additional awards. The top relay teams will be recognized with awards at the end of the event.
Registration for the event is limited to 500 participants. For those who can’t attend the event in person but want cool souvenirs, can participate virtually. All participants in the virtual race will receive a commemorative hooded sweatshirt and finisher’s medal.
Teams of 2 to 5 people are invited to the marathon relay. After the race runners and spectators are invited to visit the farmers market.

You can find the course map and description here: wordpress.com. Both courses start and end in the city center. The course runs on open roads that are not closed to car traffic.
