More than 3000 runners participate in the Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathon each year. On the course, participants will enjoy views of maritime forests, marshes and stately homes. The number of places available for the event is limited. The courses are fast, almost entirely flat and paved.

Race Info
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Slot fee includes: long sleeve T-shirt, finisher’s medal, course support, food, beer and entertainment at the finish line, free shuttle service for runners from the island.
The time limit for the full marathon and half marathon is 6,5 hours. The course closes at 2:30 PM. Strollers and dogs are not allowed on the course. The race will feature 15 pace groups – 9 for the full marathon and 6 for the half marathon.
The Kiawah Island area typically has mild winters. December is one of the driest months, with an average of just under 3 1/4 inches of rainfall. The average monthly temperature on the island in December ranges between 39°F and 62°F.
