Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon

Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon is the largest annual race in the state. Participants will run through numerous neighborhoods throughout the city. Organizers are also offering a virtual race option for those who can’t make it on race day. Dogs are not allowed on the course.

Race Info

The time limit for the marathon is 6 hours and for the half marathon is 4 hours and 20 minutes. Participants must maintain a pace of at least 13:45 minutes per mile for the full marathon or 15:00 minutes per mile for the half marathon.

The use of bicycles, scooters, strollers is prohibited on the course.
Headphones are allowed but not recommended for safety reasons. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Aid stations with water will be located along the course. Athletes must be at least 14 years old to participate in the marathon and 12 years old to participate in the half marathon.
