Most of the course of the Kansas Half Marathon is very flat, with elevation gradients in the first few miles not exceeding 100 feet.

Race Info
On the half marathon distance there will be 7 aid stations with water and energy gels. On the 5K there will be one aid station.
There will be awards for the top 3 men and women in the overall standings and the 5K and half marathon masters. Winners will receive a commemorative plaque and gift cards. The top 3 men and women in each age group will also be awarded. All participants will receive a finisher’s medal.
Pacemakers will be available at the half marathon courses. Lawrence typically has November temperatures averaging between 36ºF and 54ºF, and rainfall averages just over 2,5 inches per month.
