The Kansas City Marathon is the largest annual run in Kansas City. It passes through interesting neighborhoods and past landmarks. The course will be hilly, but the finish will be a comfortable descent. Participants will be limited to 6 hours.

Race Info
All participants will receive an official branded participant T-shirt, finisher’s medal, free photos from the race, free food, beer and massages at the finish line. Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women in the overall and in each age group. Overall winners don’t participate in the awarding of age groups.
Aid stations will be located about 1,5 to 2 miles apart along the course. Each aid station will have water and an energy drink, and some will have fruit and energy gels for full marathon participants.
Participants of the full marathon must be at least 16 years old, participants of the half marathon – 14 years old. There are no age restrictions for the 10K and 5K races. The time limit for the half marathon is 6 hours (14 minutes per mile). Strollers, any baby carriers and dogs are not allowed on the course.

You can find the course map and description here: sportkc.org. The full marathon and half marathon courses are USATF certified. The course is hilly. On the first big hill runners will climb more than 100 feet above sea level from a low elevation of about 850 feet. The finish is on a slope with one small climb.
