Hurricane 100K

Get ready to conquer the wild beauty of West Virginia at the Hurricane Hundred 100K Trail Race in Hurricane, WV. This epic race challenges you to push your limits along a thrilling trail that winds through untamed forests, rugged terrain, and awe-inspiring landscapes. Brace yourself for an unforgettable adventure as you navigate steep ascents, exhilarating descents, and ever-changing trail conditions.

Race Info

All runners receive a zip-up sweatshirt jacket with male and female sizes available, a finisher’s award, and a tote with swag from sponsors. All 100k solo finishers within the 18-hour time limit will receive a Hurricane 100k belt buckle.

Overall awards: $2000 for 1st place male and female, $1000 for 2nd place male and female, and $500 for 3rd place male and female. Top coed, female, and male relay teams also get $1000 to split between the three runners. The top 3 female and male finishers in the age groups will receive handcrafted awards.

Weโ€™ll have two aid stations, one at the start/finish and one on course. The on-course aid station will be accessible around mile 2.5 and again at mile 7 of the 10.3-mile loop. It will have water, electrolytes, Coke, ginger ale, plenty of ice, and a variety of sweet and salty foods like fruit, cookies, candy, chips, pretzels, etc. The main aid station has the same as above plus popsicles, broth, ramen, tater tots, pancakes, and quesadillas (gluten-free and regular of those last two). This start/finish and crew area is also where youโ€™ll have access to your drop bags and crew, as well as porta potties and a ladies only restroom. We do our best to take care of our ladies and trail sisters.

Course Map

This is all single-track trail, and there are approximately 1300 feet of
climbing per loop for a total of 7,800 feet for the 100k. There are no
long hills, but there are plenty of small hills.

The mid-course aid station will be available twice during the 10.3-mile loop. The other aid station is at the beginning or end of each loop, which is the low spot of the course. It’s also the crew and relay area.
