The annual Harborside Half Marathon has an abundance of gentle hills, with course elevations ranging from a few feet above sea level to 74 feet, so there are very few elevation gradients.

Race Info
The elevation gain throughout the course is 331 feet. There will be 5 aid stations on the course serving water and isotonics. There will be a party after the race with panoramic views of the Merrimack River, delicious local pizza, snacks and beer.
Participants must be at least 16 years old to participate in the half marathon, there are no age restrictions for the 5K race. Strollers and dogs are not allowed on the course, as there will be a lot of runners.
Newburyport is typically characterized by cool temperatures and abundant wet weather in November, when it receives an average of 3 inches of snow. On the race day the average low temperature is 30ºF and the average high temperature is 49ºF.
