The Greenbrier River Trail Marathon is a flat, fast, scenic marathon in West Virginia along the Greenbrier River Trail. The track surface is gravel with a few flat wooden bridge crossings and then asphalt for the last two miles of the course. The trail offers many scenic views of the river and surrounding hills. During the race the fall colors will be brighter than ever. All proceeds will go toward maintaining and improving the Greenbrier River Trail.

Race Info
The organizers will provide shuttle buses for the participants. The time limit for the marathon is 8 hours. The cutoff time for the half marathon is 5 hours. There will be at least 4 water stops on the half marathon course.
A take-out meal will be provided on Saturday evening at packet pick-up. Meals are included for all registered participants. All finishers will be given finisher’s medals.
The organizers say that any shoes are suitable for the race, depending on the comfort level of the participant. The surface is mostly gravel with some softer areas in the middle of the trail in most places. Therefore, trail shoes will be comfortable enough.
