GBTC Grand Island Half Marathon is an annual running race, which was first held in 1994. It is a small state half marathon event with 300 to 400 runners participating each year. The course runs through the park, which consists entirely of paved park roads and runs through parkland and nearby residential neighborhoods.

Race Info
The start and finish lines are located in a 950-acre state park. Participant will receive: timing, water and sports drinks at 6 stations, party and drinks after the finish, blue or pink hooded sweatshirt, commemorative medal for each finisher.
Awards: the top overall men and women, the overall Masters men and women, the Overall 19 and under men and women, the top 3 men and women in each age group.
There is no registration on the day of the race. There is no refund of the fee. Registration may be rescheduled for the next half marathon. Grand Island usually has cool or mild weather in May. On race day, the average low temperature is 42ºF and the average high temperature is 65ºF.
