The Funky Monkey Half Marathon is a unique and exciting run for experienced runners and beginners alike through some of New England’s most beautiful scenery. What makes this race special is its emphasis on including all abilities – from elite athletes competing for cash prizes to casual runners wanting to run their first half marathon – everyone is welcome here!

Race Info
The race will be chip timed. All participants will receive a T-shirt and finisher’s medal. You will be able to pick up the starting bag on the race day also.
The cut off time for the half marathon is 4 hours. There will be 1 water station on the 5K course, 2 on the 10K course and 8 on the half marathon. August usually brings warm weather to Massachusetts, but it can also bring rain or storms, so be prepared to dress appropriately for all conditions.
Awards: awarding by the age groups will be only at the half marathon. Overall winners will receive a commemorative plaque. Organizers also host additional activities throughout race day: musical performances during the pre-run warm-up or post-race festivities with food trucks offering delicious food after participants cross the finish line.

Course Map
You can find the course map and description here: oceanstatemultisport.com. The half marathon is a certified distance. The 5K and 10K races are flat and fast distances. At the half marathon the first 5 miles and the last 2 miles are almost flat. There are a few small hills in between.
