Equinox Marathon

The Equinox Marathon is held from 1963. As the name implies, the run is held during the equinox. This is the time when we are nearing the end of our beautiful, green summer, when the leaves turn yellow and orange and the trees begin to lose their foliage. All residents come out to the start, volunteering and spectating for this big celebration to celebrate the end of summer.

Race Info

The finish line for all racers closes at 6:00 PM, so the cut off is 10 hours. A participant can register as a hiker, marathoner or half marathoner. The minimum time to complete the marathon distance as a hiker is 7 hours. If you are faster than this time, you will be included in the marathon results.

Awards: the top 3 men and women in each age group will receive medals. The top 5 men and women overall will receive special awards.

After the finish, a banquet will begin at the nearby student recreation center. Participants will be able to socialize and tell stories of the day’s accomplishments. There will be food and drinks, awards and prizes. The ticket will be on BIB.
