Deer Grove Trail Half Marathon is a running race in Palatine, Illinois, consisting of the half marathon and 10K trail run. The event takes place on wide limestone trails. A wide variety of terrain awaits the competitors, including limestone rubble, dirt, and some old, deteriorating asphalt.

Race Info
Here participants will find many roots, stumps, branches and logs to jump over. Numerous stream crossings also await athletes. There will be no disposable cups at the aid stations. Participants will need to bring their own cup or bottle to fill at the aid stations.
Winners among men and women in age groups will be awarded prizes. Participants will find water, fresh fruit and a variety of snacks at the finish line of the race.
Organizers don’t recommend wearing headphones. Strollers are welcome, but they are encouraged to line the back. Dogs must be on a leash. Pacemakers are not allowed in this race.
