Country Sole Half Marathon

The Country Sole Half Marathon is held annually and includes the half marathon, 10K and 5K. The race will feature country-style souvenirs, BBQ pork, beer at the finish line and live country music at the after-race party.

Race Info

All participants will receive a finisher’s medal. Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women in the overall standings and in each age group on all courses. Awards in overall and age categories will be mailed out after the event.

The time limit: 5K – 1,20 hour, 10K – 1,50 hour, half marathon – 3,30 hours. There will be pacemakers on the course to help participants achieve their goal.

Aid stations include water and a sports drink. Headphones are permitted but are strongly discouraged. Runners and walkers may participate in the race. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Fall weather in Chicago is perfect for racing, with cool, cloudy mornings. In October average daytime temperatures range from 45°F to 56°F.
