About 4000 runners take part in the City of Oaks Marathon. The race follows a circular course through the city.

Race Info
The course has many gentle hills and some steep climbs. Participants are advised to register early, as previous races have sold out. The number of participants will be limited to 1500 for the full marathon, 3000 for the half marathon, 1000 for the 10K and 1000 for the 5K.
There will also be a full marathon relay (150 teams of 4 people) and a Kid’s marathon mile (limit of 250 children).
Raleigh is usually characterized by cool or mild weather in November. On the race day the average low temperature is 45ºF and the average high temperature is 65ºF.
