The combination of high altitude and dirt trails and darkness will be a new challenge for the participants. At the start competitors will find themselves at the top of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, just under 11000 feet, and from there down the slope with a headlamp to the colorfully lit finish line. To reach the start line, the participant will need to use the elevator.
