The marathon began in 1978. One of the most scenic marathons in the country, thanks to its course that runs along the coastline. The course includes both flat and hilly sections. The maximum elevation of the course is about 100 feet.

Race Info
Each participant will receive a unique medal, long-sleeve T-shirt, BIB with name, music on the course, hot clams, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free soups at the finish line, donuts and apple cider.
The number of participants will be limited to 1200 marathoners. The marathon course time limit is 6 hours (13:43 per mile). After 2:00 PM the course will be closed, and runners finishing after that time may not receive an official finish time. Marathon participants must be 16 years of age or older on the day of the race.
The entry fee is non-refundable for any reason. Children’s trolleys and strollers, bicycles and hand bikes are not allowed on the course. The roads are open to vehicular traffic, so such wheeled vehicles pose a safety hazard. Falmouth usually has cool or mild weather in October. The average low temperature is 54ºF, the average high temperature is 65ºF.
