The Cannonball Marathon is one of the longest endurance races in North Carolina. This event includes five distances: marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids. This scenic paved railroad trail is a favorite place for both running and training. There will be a fun party after the race.

Race Info
Registration on the race day is possible as long as the number of participants is not exceeded. The time limit for the half marathon and marathon is 6 hours (pace 13:44 min per mile). Pacemakers will be available for the half marathon and full marathon distances. Pacemakers will wear jerseys and hold pacer flags indicating the time of the race.
Participants will receive a T-shirt, an individual finisher’s medal, snacks and beer at the finish line. Water, isotonics and food will be available at the aid stations (half and full marathon participants only).
After the race there will be a party in the park with live music on the main stage. Children of all ages will be able to run a short race. Parents can run with their children. Kids will receive cool souvenirs and a personalized BIB. No strollers are allowed. The 5K race will be run in the early evening and visibility may be limited and the 10K, half marathon and full marathon courses have limited space.
