The Broken Vista Trail Runs follows a stunningly beautiful trail through the Deschutes National Forest. 1,350 feet of climbing for the half marathon and 3,700 feet for the 50K. The course is certified and run to the highest quality standards. A portion of the proceeds from this event is donated to a foundation that builds and maintains trail systems in Bend.

Race Info
There will be 2 fully staffed aid stations at the half marathon. On the 50K distance there will be 4 aid stations. At the aid stations food and refreshments after the finish, including beer, will be available. You will need to prove your age with a photo ID to get the beer.
Poles and snowshoes are allowed for the first 5 miles. The cut off time for the half marathon is 5 hours, for the 50K race – 9 hours. The weather in Central Oregon in early June is usually dry, sunny and great for running.
The maximum temperature is about 70 degrees and the minimum about 40 degrees. But since the course is at an elevation of 4,700 to 6,300 feet, you should expect cooler temperatures and precipitation.
All registered participants will receive a T-shirt. All finishers will receive awards.

The courses have the USA Track & Field (USATF) Course Certification. The course is completely off-road and consists mainly of single-track trails of medium technical complexity. Both courses are a single loop.
