Boulderthon

The Boulderthon is a running race in Boulder, Colorado, consisting of the marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids’ race. It is Boulder’s only downtown marathon and half marathon with a post-race party on the bricks. The full and half marathon races will run through the county’s farmland and end with a finish in downtown Boulder.

Race Info

The top 3 men and women overall will receive cash prizes for the half and full marathons. The top 10 overall will receive finisher award and 50% discount on the registration for the following year. There will be no finisher awards, age group awards or cash prizes for the Kids’ race, 5K and 10K race.

Participants will receive T-shirts, finisher’s medals, BIBs, timing and aid stations. The time limit for the marathon and half marathon will be 6 hours. There will be no early start for runners. There will be no time limit for the 10K, 5K and Kid’s races. At the finish line runners will be offered water and bananas after they cross the finish line. 

Only the half marathon and full marathon will have pace groups. The organizers strongly advise not to use headphones for safety reasons. Pets are not allowed on the course. The first 250 spectators will receive bells to support participants on the course.

  • $29 and up – Kid’s Run

You can find the course map and description here: boulderthon.org. The Boulderthon is a Boston Marathon Qualifying, USATF sanctioned event. Approximately 30% of the half marathon is on gravel, 70% is on paved roads or paved trails. Approximately 50% of the full marathon is on gravel, 50% is on paved roads. The 5K, 10K, and Kids’ runs are 100% on paved roads and 0% on gravel.
