The Traverse City Track Club started in 1962 with a small group of running enthusiasts coming together each week to see how fast and far they could run. Over 50 years later, this non-profit organization has grown into northern Michigan’s largest and oldest running club.
The Traverse City Track Club prides itself on hosting premier running events and programs, including the annual Bayshore Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K events each May since 1983.

Race Info
Bayshore has become a tradition for many runners throughout the Midwest and beyond.
The races go through flat, fast out-and-back courses. It is 100% paved and shaded along much of the route.
All runners will receive a short-sleeve gender-specific tech shirt and finisher’s medal. Prize money is available for overall and masters winners and second places.

Course Map
Bayshore Marathon is a flat, out-and-back course that runs along the shores of Grand Traverse Bay. Throughout the race, you have the crystal blue waters of Lake Michigan on one side and Traverse City’s famous cherry trees and orchards on the other. The only ‘rise’ on the course falls between the 18 and 19 mile markers.
The half marathon has an approximately 225-foot climb near the beginning of the race before dropping down to Bluff Rd. to join the marathon course.
The 10K course is just like the marathon course except that it turns around at 3 miles instead of 13 miles.
